The Smallest Monkey

Hi, I’m Lillian!

I’m the smallest monkey of the Monkeys on the Road.

(Don’t look at the crooked haircut my papa gave me – all the hairdressers were closed because of coronavirus)

I love to read

Here are some books that I read that I recommend to you:

Wings of fire: this is a 14 book series with more coming! the first book is about a dragon named clay who is in a prophecy. the last book is about the queen of the icewings. I have read them all.

Peter and the Starcatchers – this is a series of 4 books about a boy called Peter who becomes Peter Pan, makes Tinkerbell at the end of the 1st book, and meets a pirate who later becomes Captain Hook. Then there’s a 5th book about him having an adventure after the Peter Pan story that everyone knows.

Zoey & Sassafras:Dragons & Marshmallows – it’s about a girl who can see mystical creatures and a dragon is a runt and needs help. Another one is about a unicorn, another about a monster, and mer-horses. I loved all 6 books!

Searching for Dragons – this is number one, it’s about a princess who doesn’t want to be a princess and runs off to live with dragons and talks to a toad.there are 4 books.

Harry Potter! Everybody has heard of this! I’ve read all of them.

Magic Tree House & Merlin Missions – Magic tree house is a really long series and I’ve read all of them. Merlin Missions is a really long series too and I’m half-way through. And there’s another long series, that I forgot the name of, that still is the same 2 kids.

Here are some books I’ve written:

June 2020: In History I was learning about when the Spanish came to the Americas and I wrote a poem about what the native people thought. I wrote it from the perspective of one of the native kids. I named it “Wonder and Hide”:

December 2019: I read the Night Zookeeper and then for school mama showed me a Night Zookeeper contest to invent a creature who could pull Santa’s sleigh, so I invented an Orley:

This is an Orley. It lives in the forests of the Night Zoo. It has strong wings and tail. This makes it a good creature to pull Santa’s red sleigh. The pokey yellow part of the tail glows in the dark. This helps Santa fly on a cloudy night.

Its eyes are orange. Its eyes come out and can look down chimneys to see if children are asleep, and see far away through clouds. An Orley has a snake head. The snake head can shoot magic water and make it into a rope that can be used to tie to Santa’s sleigh.

It has a blue horn. The horn is used to shape shift for landing in different environments. In the wild, for example, if it wanted to catch a mouse, it would turn into a piece of cheese and get the mouse. When pulling Santa’s sleigh, for example, if it needed to land on an igloo it would turn its feet into gecko’s feet to be extra sticky.

So that is why I think the Orley is a good animal for pulling Santa’s sleigh when the reindeer are sick.

November 2019: I wrote a funny comic about Draco (from Harry Potter) getting detention, here it is, it’s called Ear Dung:

October 2019: Newspaper article – in school I got to be a reporter and I wrote about Bolivia where we are now. I wrote it and then my mama typed it up for me.

September 2019: Fiddle is a book I wrote in writing school this year. I had to change out the rhyming words in the poem to new words.
